Bafang error 11: Motor temperature sensor fault

What it means

The controller cannot read the motor temperature, so it limits or stops assist to protect the motor.

Likely causes

• Faulty sensor inside the motor
• Wiring fault

Symptoms

• Code 11 shows
• No or reduced assist

How to fix it

1. Switch the bike off, wait 10 seconds and switch it on again.
2. Do not open the motor.
3. Take the bike to your dealer; Bafang's manual says the motor needs replacing.
