Ride with caution. Assistance may be switched off, but Bosch says you can always keep pedalling without the motor.
What it means
There is a connection problem with the eBike battery. This is not a speed sensor fault.
Likely causes
- Battery not fully seated or locked
- Dirty battery contacts
- Damaged cable or plug
Symptoms
- Code 423 on the display
- No motor assistance
- Battery level may not show
How to fix it
- Switch the system off. Remove the battery and refit it until it clicks and locks.
- Switch the eBike system off, wait a few seconds, then switch it on again.
- Ask your Bosch eBike dealer to check the plugs and cables. Do not open any component yourself.
