Generic displays error 0x03: Brake signal

What it means

The brake cut-off is active, so the motor stops. If it stays on, a lever or sensor may be stuck. The code is shown as a number on the display.

Likely causes

• Brake lever pulled
• Stuck lever or sensor

Symptoms

• 03 shows
• No assist

How to fix it

1. Let go of the brakes and check the levers spring back.
2. Check the brake sensor connectors.
3. Switch the bike off, wait 10 seconds and switch it on again.
4. If the code stays, take the bike to your dealer or an e-bike repair shop.

Only act if it stays on.
