What it means

RideControl EVO shows 'Speed sensor error' and asks for servicing. The service icon stays until a dealer visit.

How to fix it

  1. Check the wheel magnet and sensor are in place.
  2. Switch the system off.
  3. Look for an obvious cause, such as a battery not fully clicked in.
  4. Fix it only if you can do so safely, then switch the system back on.
  5. If it is fixed, carry on and book a service check with a Giant dealer.
  6. If the issue keeps returning, stop riding and contact an authorised Giant dealer.
