What it means
Code 3 is a component error from the motor. Specialized notes some exceptions, for example a missing speed sensor magnet can trigger a motor error.
Likely causes
- Motor fault
- Missing or moved speed sensor magnet
Symptoms
- Red/blue error LEDs on the TCU
- No assist
How to fix it
- Switch the bike off and on again (reboot).
- Check the speed sensor magnet is still in place.
- Open the Mission Control app (Diagnose) to read more.
- If the error stays, contact an Authorised Specialized Retailer.
