Bafang display setting

SPEED-LIMIT: Speed limit (view only)

Shows the assist speed limit set by the dealer.

What it does

Found under "Information". It can only be viewed on the display; it is set with the Bafang BESST dealer tool. On DP C10 it is shown as "SPL".

Before you change it

In the UK, EU, Australia and New Zealand an e-bike (pedelec) may only assist up to 25 km/h with a 250 W motor; in the US, Class 1/2 bikes stop assisting at 20 mph and Class 3 at 28 mph. Raising the limit can make the bike illegal on public roads and can void your warranty and insurance.
