C4: Throttle function

How the throttle behaves.

What it does

Sets throttle limits, depending on P4.

Typical values

  • 0 = normal (follows P4)
  • 1 = throttle limited to 6 km/h (until pedalling, when P4=1)
  • 2 = throttle limited to a set speed (default 20)
  • 3 = zero start, level 0 works / throttle back to 6 km/h when pedalling stops (P4=1)
  • 4 = throttle speed follows assist level (first level default 50%)

Before you change it

  • In the UK, EU, Australia and New Zealand an e-bike (pedelec) may only assist up to 25 km/h with a 250 W motor; in the US, Class 1/2 bikes stop assisting at 20 mph and Class 3 at 28 mph. Raising the limit can make the bike illegal on public roads and can void your warranty and insurance.
