Ride with caution. Assistance may be switched off, but Bosch says you can always keep pedalling without the motor.
What it means
The system suspects the speed signal has been tampered with and runs in limp-home (reduced) mode.
Likely causes
- Tuning device fitted
- Magnets in the wrong position
Symptoms
- Code 525003
- Reduced assistance (limp-home mode)
How to fix it
- Make sure nothing on the bike has been tampered with; remove any tuning device.
- Check the magnets are positioned correctly.
- Switch the eBike system off, wait a few seconds, then switch it on again.
- If the code comes back, contact your Bosch eBike dealer.
