Aventon error E22: Throttle error

Can I ride home with this error?
Ride with caution. Do not use the throttle; switch off at once if the motor surges on its own.
What it means
The throttle cable is not connected properly or something is interfering with the throttle lever.
Likely causes
- Throttle cable loose
- Obstruction stopping the throttle returning
- Cut, frayed or gritty throttle cable
Symptoms
- E22 on the display
- Throttle does not work
How to fix it
- Turn the bike off and make sure pedal assist is off before checking, so the throttle cannot fire by accident.
- Look for anything blocking the throttle lever and check it springs back.
- Check the throttle cable is fully connected and not cut, frayed or gritty.
- If E22 stays, contact Aventon support.
How urgent is it?
Fix before using assist again.
