Ride with caution. Assistance may be switched off, but Bosch says you can always keep pedalling without the motor.
What it means
The speed sensor is not working properly. Speed readings and assistance may be affected.
Likely causes
- Speed sensor or its cable faulty
- Spoke magnet missing or moved
Symptoms
- Code 503 on the display
- Speed shows 0 or wrong
- Reduced or no assistance
How to fix it
- Switch the eBike system off, wait a few seconds, then switch it on again.
- Check that the spoke magnet is still on the wheel and lines up with the sensor.
- If the code comes back, contact your Bosch eBike dealer.
