Ride with caution. You can keep riding with reduced or no assist while it cools.
What it means
The drive unit is running hotter than in normal use. The system may lower assist to protect itself until it cools down.
Likely causes
- Long climbs or heavy loads
- Riding in hot weather in a high assist mode
Symptoms
- Assist feels weaker than usual
- W010 shown on the cycle computer
How to fix it
- Stop using assist (or choose a lower mode) until the motor cools.
- Let the bike rest in the shade for a while.
- If the warning does not clear once cool, contact your place of purchase.
How urgent is it?
Normal protection. Only see a dealer if it does not clear once cool.
